Chiefs for Change is seeking a Coordinator to support the Development and Strategic Partnerships team. This is a full-time remote/virtual position with occasional travel required.

This role will require the team member to: 

  • Conducting timely and accurate research and working with the development team to evaluate foundation, corporate, federal, and individual grant prospects. 
  • Collecting and synthesizing information and data on CFC programs and priorities for grant reports, proposals, and supplementary materials. 
  • Organize, manage, and maintain databases to track relevant information, including objectives and deadlines, for a variety of projects and initiatives
  • Draft communications for the Development and Strategic Partnerships Team for both internal and external audiences
  • Assisting the senior director and the executive team in advancing the organization's development and partnerships work as needed 
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization’s systems for project management, knowledge management, internal and selected external communications, and general operations
  • Work with the Senior Director and Senior Associate of Development and Strategic Partnerships to identify and create more efficient internal processes 
  • Codify best operational practices and functions and identify areas and methods for improvement
  • Develop guide manuals and tools to support key team systems and processes 
  • Maintain up-to-date contact lists in multiple databases, including Salesforce and Google spreadsheets
  • Provide generalized support for CFC staff and projects, including research, analysis, and project coordination with an eye toward improving outcomes and increasing efficiency
  • Draft communications for the Development and Strategic Partnerships Team for both internal and external audiences
  • Assisting the senior director and the executive team in advancing the organization's development and partnerships work as needed 
  • Assist with team calendar management 
  • Provide administrative support for projects and events, including tracking, documentation, and meeting facilitation

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of full-time professional work experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of partners and stakeholders and enjoys working on a collaborative team
  • Ability to simultaneously navigate a variety of projects and complex tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, take the initiative, and display tenacious follow-through
  • Is a critical thinker, eager to present new ideas, and a highly resourceful team player who is also effective at working independently

The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills: 

  • Navigating the philanthropic landscape in K-12 education
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent planning and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Using Google Apps (i.e., Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Spreadsheets, Forms, etc.) to optimize processes and systems
  • Familiarity with the Salesforce platform or similar database management system
